ANDREA WOOD, piano

Vancouver native Andrea Wood is in high demand as a pianist and vocal coach. She completed a Bachelor of Music, then the Diploma of Collaborative Piano Studies at UBC. Andrea has enjoyed her position with Vancouver Opera since 2001, where she has spent several seasons as repertoire accompanist for the main stage. Most recently Andrea has been pianist and Music Director on tour with Vancouver Opera in Schools. She has been a participant of the Centre d’Arts Orford, Nuova and The Banff Centre. Andrea loves to garden, cook and travel, and spent the summer of 2008 in Ghana, West Africa volunteering at a Canadian run orphanage for boys. She recently returned home from several months in Melbourne, Australia where she was on staff as a coach and pianist for the University of Melbourne and the Victorian College of the Arts.
