Born in Montreal, Donald Renshaw [trombone] pursued his musical studies at McGill and later at the Juilliard School in New York. He enjoys the full spectrum of music making from that of the early days of sackbuts to the music of today’s composers, and jazz and dance big bands. As a young player, he was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada. He has performed with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra London, and now the National Arts Centre Orchestra. He is a founding member of the Rideau Lakes Brass Quintet and the Capital BrassWorks, and teaches at the University of Ottawa.
