JANE HAYES, piano

A graduate of the Universities of Toronto and Cincinnati with further studies at the Banff Centre and Nice Academy, Jane held positions at Brock University and the University of Western Ontario before coming to Kwantlen Polytechnic University as Director of Keyboard Studies in 1993. She has performed and adjudicated across Canada, and has chamber music and orchestral recordings on CBC SM5000, Musica Viva, Fanfare, Atma, CMC and EMI to her credit. As a founding member of both the Turning Point Ensemble and the Yarilo Ensemble, she maintains an active performing career. The 2008-9 season will feature the release of three more chamber and solo CDs. She is also the Past-President of the Canadian Music Festival Adjudicators Association.
