Janice Owens

Bio

Janice Owens [trombone] performs extensively as a chamber and orchestral musician, including performances with the Hamilton Philharmonic, Toronto Concert Orchestra, Canadian Opera Company, Hannaford Street Silver Band, Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, Orchestra London, and in musical theatre productions. Janice toured extensively both as a recitalist and chamber musician, and performed in 48 of 50 US states as a member of the Monumental Brass Quintet for the Columbia Artists’ Community Concert Series.  As Chair of the Wind and Brass Department at the Levine School of Music in Washington DC, she built a thriving brass chamber music program.  She also taught low brass at Levine, and at the Peabody Conservatory (Preparatory Division) in Baltimore, Maryland.
