KAREN FOSTER, violin

A Chicago native, Karen studied at Roosevelt University and was the recipient of several music club awards. From Chicago to Indianapolis to Vancouver, her professional career has spanned 4 decades of orchestral, solo and chamber music. Since immigrating to Vancouver 30 years ago, Karen has been a member of the Vancouver Opera, CBC orchestra, Vancouver Symphony and various chamber groups. She has collaborated with many musicians on recitals at UBC, the Banff Centre, the Vancouver East Cultural Centre, the Silk Purse and other venues.

After serving 25 years in the VSO, Karen is focusing her love of music on solo and chamber music repertoire.
