Davidsbündler Duo: Reg Quiring, viola and Rosemary O’Connor, piano
The Davidsbündler Duo was formed to perform music especially composed and suited to the combination of the viola and piano.
Reg Quiring has recently completed his tenth year as principal violist of the Vancouver Opera Orchestra. He has been principal violist of Quebec Symphony as well as a member of the Vancouver Symphony. He often performs as soloist, recitalist and chamber musician with many of the chamber ensembles in Vancouver. He and his sister Angela Goddard founded and co-direct the Quiring Chamber Music Camp for young musicians, now in its tenth year. He has recently recorded a CD of works for viola and piano with his wife and duo partner Rosemary O’Connor.
Rosemary O’Connor has been guest soloist with several orchestras in the US and Germany, and has performed chamber music and solo concerts throughout Europe and North. She has taught talented young pianists at the Pasadena Conservatory of Music, Loyola Marymount University, and at the University of California, Los Angeles. Rosemary is a founding member of the Quiring Chamber Players, and
has performed regularly with the Pro Nova Ensemble, Trio Accord, Metta Trio, and Vancouver Chamber Players.
