About HAS Funding:

Health Arts Society (HAS) is the largest professional performing arts organisation in Canada dedicated to people in health care.

The ArtsWay events cost an average of approximately $14 for each person who enjoys them.  This is a very low cost for live events.

Of this, less than 12% will be spent on all aspects of administration and fundraising; ALL the balance goes to performance artists.  This is the highest ratio of artist fees to total budget of any performance arts organisation in the Province.  Furthermore the fees go almost exclusively to BC performers.  The total of fees to BC performers is second only to that of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, which is the largest performance organisation west of Toronto.
